Viola alliariaefolia Viola alliariaefolia
My assumption that it would be fairly easy to identify because it is a yellow violet with kidney-shaped leaves was completely disproved
(there are lots of plants with kidney-shaped leaves).

I made up my mind and went to Mt. Daisetsu in the summer. I had assumed that I would be able to see the Target violet in several places, but that was not the case. I was finally able to see it in two spots. As far as this natural habitat is concerned, I don't think the number of individuals is particularly large.
The person who was accompanying me pointed to the plant and said, "This one isn't it, right?", and I replied, "That's exactly it!", and by some luck we were able to find it.
