Others DNA was extracted from leaves collected from a plant found on Mt. Tengu in Shirakawa City, Fukushima Prefecture. The base sequences of the nuclear ITS region and the plastid matK region were examined, and the plant was considered a hybrid with Viola sieboldii as the pollen parent and Viola tokubuchiana var. takedana as the seed parent.
