During the flowering period, the overall shape of the leaves is from oval-lanceolate to oval-lanceolate with narrow and pointed leaves. The base is heart-shaped. It has chrysanthemum leaf-like notches (irregular serrations).
Color
Surface is dark green. On the back, take on magenta. The petioles are reddish-purple.
Others
There is information that the surface is densely covered with short hairs, but the individuals from Ibaraki Prefecture has no hair on both sides.

In 1926, Mr. T. Omura found it at Hamaishi-dake (Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture).
In the case of the variegated type, it is said that it was discovered in Imaichi City, Tochigi Prefecture by Takayuki Kamiyama, a violet researcher, in May 1973.
